Digging through the filing we see something that was pretty much expected, namely that the Nokia N9 boasts support for pentaband 3G connectivity – just like any self-respecting world smartphone should. What that translates to is that the N9 should theoretically be able to run on any major US carrier that uses SIM cards. However, whether any one of them will be interested in offering it, especially with Nokia's poor smartphone sales, is a whole different story.
The Nokia N9 is expected to launch later this year in at least 23 countries worldwide, yet no concrete release date has been given yet. Until then, the hardcore smartphone geeks can go through the 113-page user manual of the device and get themselves familiar with MeeGo in advance.
